30-DAY RETURN POLICY
We accept eligible returns requested within 30 days after delivery.
To qualify for a standard return, the product must be unused, uninstalled, unmodified, and in the same condition in which it was received. Products must include their original packaging, labels, components, accessories, and documentation, when applicable.
Proof of purchase is required.
RETURN AUTHORIZATION REQUIRED
Before returning any product, please contact us at shop@california-diesel.com to request return authorization and return instructions.
Products returned without prior authorization may be refused or returned to the sender.
Once your return is authorized, we will provide instructions regarding where and how to send the product.
Please do not send products back without first contacting us.
15% RESTOCKING FEE
Eligible returns resulting from customer ordering error, change of mind, incorrect application selection, or another reason not caused by California Shop Diesel are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
The restocking fee will be deducted from the approved refund.
No restocking fee will be charged when California Shop Diesel shipped an incorrect product or when a product is determined to be defective and eligible for a refund or other remedy under an applicable warranty.
Restocking fees will be applied only to the extent permitted by applicable law.
INSTALLED, USED, OR ALTERED PARTS
Except where required by applicable law or covered by an applicable warranty, products that have been installed, used, disassembled, modified, programmed, altered, damaged, or contaminated are not eligible for a standard return.
Installed or used products claimed to be defective will be handled as a warranty claim, when applicable, and may require inspection and/or testing before a remedy is approved.
Installation of a product does not by itself establish that the product is defective.
A vehicle continuing to exhibit the same symptom after installation does not by itself establish that the purchased component is defective.
DIESEL FUEL-SYSTEM & ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS
Diesel fuel-system and electronic components, including but not limited to fuel injectors, injection components, solenoids, sensors, actuators, valves, control components, and related parts, may be affected by contamination, improper installation, incorrect diagnosis, electrical faults, fuel-system problems, improper programming or calibration, or other vehicle conditions.
Claims involving an installed or used component may require inspection, diagnostic information, and/or testing before we determine whether the product is defective and whether a warranty remedy applies.
We may request vehicle information, diagnostic codes, installation information, photographs, test results, or other information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.
CUSTOMER ORDERING ERRORS & COMPATIBILITY
Customers are responsible for confirming that a product is correct for their application before installation.
Part numbers, engine information, vehicle information, photographs, descriptions, and other information should be verified before installation.
If you ordered the wrong product and it remains unused, uninstalled, and otherwise eligible for return, you may request a return within the 30-day return period.
Customer-error returns are subject to the 15% restocking fee, and the customer is responsible for return shipping.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for customer-error returns.
DAMAGED, DEFECTIVE, OR INCORRECT ORDERS
Please inspect your order promptly upon delivery.
If your order arrives damaged, you receive an incorrect product, or you believe a product was defective when received, contact us as soon as reasonably possible at shop@california-diesel.com.
Please retain the product, original packaging, shipping materials, and shipping labels while the claim is being evaluated.
We may request photographs, vehicle information, diagnostic information, installation information, or return of the product for inspection and/or testing.
If we determine that we shipped an incorrect product or that an eligible product arrived damaged or defective, we will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable law and any applicable product warranty.
WARRANTY CLAIMS
Warranty claims are separate from standard returns.
A product that has been installed or used and is alleged to be defective will generally be evaluated under the warranty applicable to that product rather than under our standard 30-day return policy.
We may require the product to be returned for inspection and/or testing before determining whether a warranty claim is approved.
Warranty coverage, exclusions, procedures, and available remedies are governed by the warranty applicable to the particular product.
Nothing in this Return & Refund Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any warranty, consumer right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable law.
CORE RETURNS & CORE CHARGES
Certain remanufactured or exchange products may require the return of an acceptable core or may include a separate core charge.
When a product has a core requirement, the specific core-return terms shown on the applicable product page, invoice, order confirmation, or other sales documentation apply.
Returned cores must be complete and reasonably suitable for rebuilding or remanufacturing.
Cores that are incomplete, disassembled, missing essential components, physically destroyed, severely damaged, or otherwise unsuitable for rebuilding may receive reduced or no core credit.
Any applicable core requirements, deadlines, and core-credit amounts will be disclosed with the applicable product or transaction.
SPECIAL ORDERS, FINAL SALE & AS-IS PRODUCTS
Special-order or custom products and products expressly identified before purchase as “Final Sale,” “As-Is,” or “Non-Returnable” are not eligible for standard returns.
This restriction does not eliminate any rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law or any applicable written warranty.
RETURN SHIPPING
For returns resulting from customer ordering error, change of mind, incorrect application selection, or another reason not caused by California Shop Diesel, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable in these circumstances.
If we shipped an incorrect product, or an eligible product is determined to have arrived damaged or defective, we will provide appropriate return instructions and, when applicable, a prepaid return shipping label.
When customers are responsible for return shipping, we strongly recommend using a trackable and adequately insured shipping method.
California Diesel MFG LLC is not responsible for customer-returned packages that are lost or damaged in transit before being delivered to us.
EXCHANGES
If you need a different product and your original product remains unused, uninstalled, and otherwise eligible for return, please contact us before sending it back.
Depending on the circumstances, we may arrange an exchange or ask you to return the original product and place a separate order for the replacement product.
Any applicable price difference, shipping charge, and restocking fee will apply.
REFUNDS
Once an authorized return is received, we will inspect the product and notify you whether the refund has been approved.
Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
Please allow up to 10 business days after approval for us to process the refund. Your bank, credit card company, or payment provider may require additional time for the refund to appear in your account.
Applicable restocking fees and non-refundable shipping charges will be deducted from the refund.
If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund and you have not received it, please contact us at shop@california-diesel.com.
MANDATORY CONSUMER RIGHTS
For orders sold to consumers in jurisdictions that provide mandatory cancellation, withdrawal, warranty, return, or other consumer rights, applicable mandatory consumer-protection laws will apply.
Nothing in this policy is intended to waive or restrict rights that cannot legally be waived or restricted.
